About Masechet Berakhot

Masechet Berakhot (“Blessings”) is the first tractate in the Mishnah and deals primarily with the laws of prayer and blessings. Despite being placed in Seder Zeraim (which primarily deals with agricultural laws), Berakhot opens the Mishnah because it discusses the most fundamental Jewish practice: daily communication with God through prayer and blessings.
