About the Rambam

Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon (ืจื‘ื™ ืžืฉื” ื‘ืŸ ืžื™ืžื•ืŸ), known as Maimonides or the Rambam (1138โ€“1204), was one of the greatest Torah scholars in history. Born in Cordoba, Spain, he later lived in Morocco and Egypt, where he served as the physician to the Sultan.

The Mishneh Torah, completed around 1180, was revolutionary in its comprehensive organization of all of Jewish law, from the Talmud to the Geonim, into a single, systematically arranged code.
